MAPLETON, Ore. — A Florence man was killed in a crash east of Mapleton early Saturday morning.
Oregon State Police say an SUV was westbound on Highway 126 near milepost 22 when it traveled across the eastbound lane and into a tree. It happened just after 3 a.m.
The driver, 68-year-old Raymond Mosley, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was blocked off for about four hours as police investigated.
